Personalized Hematology-Oncology Opens On-Site Pharmacy

Our practice is pleased to offer an on-site pharmacy within our office, bringing a new level of convenience and safety to our patients. Now, patients can fill prescriptions at the pharmacy during their medical appointments, thereby eliminating the need to make a special trip to a retail pharmacy.

Not only does the pharmacy service provide added convenience, but it also helps ensure that patients fully understand their medication instructions and can communicate directly with one of our providers if they have any questions.

“We were finding that patients were having trouble accessing medication at an affordable price,” said Luminita Castillos, chief executive officer of Personalized Hematology-Oncology. “Now, many of our patients are using our pharmacy and finding the cost for prescription drugs to be less. Some even have no deductible and no co-pay.”

The Personalized Hematology-Oncology on-site pharmacy is particularly focused on dispensing prescription medications for the practice’s cancer patients. About 80 percent of the drugs are for cancer treatment, while the remaining 20 percent focus on hematology treatments.
