About Our Practice
Personalized Hematology/Oncology of Wake Forest (PHOWF) was launched in 2012 by Dr. Francisco Antonio Castillos, who completed his Hem/Onc fellowship in 2001. From the start, the practice reflected his passion and desire to utilize the blueprint of the tumor to determine, based on science, the best treatment for patients with Stage IV disease.
The practice built on this passion with subsequent breakthroughs in the science of Oncology since 2012, including precision medicine, bispecific antibodies, antibody-drug conjugates, immune checkpoint inhibitor therapies, CAR-T and CRISPR technologies. There has been a diversity of options to enhance our ability to provide better molecularly targeted therapies, with the hope of one day eliminating cytotoxic therapies and their plethora of unwanted side effects.
PHOWF refined and perfected its business model over time, undergoing three expansions and increasing the size of our infusion center within the same building. We initially developed our own CLIA, COLA, OSHA/HIPAA-certified laboratory, and within the last year, have added our own in-house pharmacy. We have a service dog to greet infusion patients and reduce anxiety for all patients seen in the clinic.
We are now looking to increase the number of Hem/Onc providers in our practice. We would like to offer a position to support the fellowship programs of graduating fellow(s) in United States Hem/Onc programs who are interested in an independent community Hem/Onc office/clinic/infusion center practice in the Raleigh, North Carolina area.
We are seeking a candidate with a passion for hematology and oncology who wants to earn the respect of their patients, colleagues, and healthcare professionals by developing their talent to deliver superior care.
